As the owner of a trucking company or as an owner operator, there are many things that require your attention.  Keeping up with DOT regulations, equipment maintenance and paying the bills is a full-time job by itself.  A dispatching firm takes a lot of the weight off since you no longer have to find, negotiate and attempt to get paid for freight.  Large amounts of communications from brokers/ shippers, constant checks on driver locations, assisting drivers with HOS questions and route planning are taken off of your plate if you have a dispatcher.  Tracking of where your trucks have gone for quarterly IFTA statements, managing your data for reproduction if needed months later at a moments notice, payment submission and troubleshooting payment issues are also taken off of your plate if you have a management firm.  In light of this, you can see why dispatching is both an art and a science.  This is the reason that we are not just a dispatcher but a carrier management firm.  

THE ART:

The art of dispatching is in finding freight and managing the logistical challenges of moving that freight from one place to the next.  Trucking is a fast paced arena and the best loads go quickly.  At CIQM, we have the knowledge of the best locations to keep your equipment in the money.  Our goal is to determine what makes you comfortable with how your equipment is run and then putting the most money possible on your truck.  Considering all of the variables associated the movement of freight (hold-ups at shippers/ receivers, traffic, weather, equipment issues, time, distance, rate negotiation, FMCSA rules, etc.) there is no "one-size-fits-all" solution.  Here is where we stand out because we are familiar with and have been in all of the situations that you as a carrier/ driver may come across and we enact the necessary steps to come to a positive solution!

THE SCIENCE:

Once the freight has been negotiated and booked, the science goes to work!  CIQM has trusted systems in place.  We use a proven system of communication to ensure that the brokers/ shippers are up-to-date on what is going on with their freight.  We get your drivers involved in this process so that they are fully in the loop on all that is going on with their load.  We then utilize a system of data processing that keeps records of all documents related to the life cycle of the load.  Finally, we ensure that all documents are fully prepared before submitting to your factoring company, broker or shipper.  Once we have submitted for payment, we then track it (and troubleshoot it if necessary) to ensure that the funds have been received by your company.
